My husband Tim and I have lived in Camino for 42 years. We have been members of Apple Hill. I helped my parents build water lines to their farm in the 70’s and Tim and I built our own water lines that were later annexed into EID. We have restored historic buildings in downtown Placerville and own a food business on Main Street.

I understand the importance for Farmers and Businesses to have affordable water. The raising debt from PGE & EID is crushing ALL ratepayers. Continuing this pattern is unsustainable. During George Osborne’s time at EID we have seen small farmers go from around 1400 to less than 400 due to the raising water rates and broken promises. The current Board has zero limits on how much debt they can accrue and they have taken advantage of this with uncontrolled spending. This must stop!
